Make the syrup as follows: put the sugar in a small saucepan, add the butter, spices and a glass of water and let it boil for 5 minutes.


Meanwhile, peel the apples, empty them with the tip of a knife and rub them immediately with half a lemon to prevent darken.
Place them in a baking dish and sprinkle with syrup.
Put them in the preheated oven to 175° and cook for about 35 minutes, by spraying them often with their own syrup.


When the apples are cooked and golden brown, remove them from the oven and pour in each center a heated teaspoon of redcurrant jelly.
Garnish the apples with a bay leaf.
