Directions

Defrost the lamb leg. Chop the garlic, celery and anchovies together. Cut the gherkins into stripes. Make little holes in the lamb leg where you slip the celery mixture in some and the gherkins and capers in others.

2.

Melt the butter in a pan, brown the meat on high heat and, after about half an hour, add salt and pepper and put it in the preheated oven. Cook it for about an hour and a half, often sprinkling the meat with its own juice.
